The Centre for Health
Innovation (CHI) was established to improve the safety and quality of
health care by fostering collaborations between clinicians,
scientists and technology developers.
Based at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, the Centre is a
purpose-built training and technology testbed facility used by
clinicians and industry to support professional development and
validation of new technologies that can improve patient care.

The Centre is a joint initiative of Bayside Health, La Trobe
University, Monash University and the Baker Heart Research
Institute. Major contributors to the Centre's establishment include
the State Government of Victoria, Intel, Stryker, Medtronic, Cisco
Systems, Medicraft Hill-Rom and Anatomics.
